Types of guided tours

Classic tour Tours are guided and start at fixed times. Check the schedule below. They last about an hour and are a walk along a forest trail, approximately two kilometers long. In this way, you will discover the stories of the bears that now live in the sanctuary, its objective and you can ask any questions. Recommendation: to ensure that you can enter at the desired time, purchase your tickets online. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that you will still find tickets at the box office. Private tour The private tour is more complex than the classic tour. You will have your own guide ready to answer all your questions and curiosities. The visit is organized at a walking pace on an easy 2.5 kilometer route and lasts approximately 1.5 hours. The costs of a private tour are 200 euros (private tour fee - applies to the entire group) + day ticket. Payment must be made prior to the date within a minimum of 72 hours and a tax invoice is issued. VIP Tour

The VIP Tour is one of the most complex tours we organize. It offers you and your family/friends the unique opportunity to visit the Teddy Bear Museum, the observation deck, the bunker, and other surprises. You will have your own guide ready to answer all your questions and the unique opportunity to see a part of the sanctuary that is normally closed to visitors. The tour is done on foot on an accessible 4-kilometer route. The cost of the VIP tour is 200 euros (VIP tour fee - applies per group) + 50 euros for each participating adult, respectively 25 euros for children (5-18 years). Payment is made in full prior to the visit no later than 72 hours and a tax invoice is issued. To benefit from a VIP tour, you must schedule by phone, at +40747262523, Monday to Friday, between 9:00-16:00 or by email: milioanedeprieteni@gmail.com, at least 72 hours in advance. *The reservation for Tuesday is made by Friday at 15:00 and is considered firm only after the tour payment is made, by bank transfer or PayPal.

SUPER VIP Tour

The Super VIP Tour will be available from June 1, 2026! The Super Vip Tour is the top tour organized by the AMP Libearty staff. It is done with a special train, not on foot, and includes a private guide and driver and lasts about two and a half hours. This gives you access to the unseen area of ​​the sanctuary and you can visit or see the Teddy Bear Museum, the accommodation areas, the bunker, the observation platform, the friendship park. The total cost is 600 euros for eight people from the same family or group of friends. There is no other fee required. LiBEARty Zarnesti, with an area of ​​approximately 60 hectares of forest, is the first nature reserve for captive bears in Romania. It is located in the forest on the hill at the entrance to Zarnesti from Brasov. The Libearty Sanctuary was created in memory of the bear Maya and is today home to 74 European brown bears and an Asian black bear, all bears having been rescued from a cruel and abusive life in captivity. Most of the bears in the reserve were rescued from the most miserable and tiny cages, being just a source of entertainment for restaurants, hotels, factories, gas stations, circuses or even monasteries. “LiBEARty” began in 2005 when Cristina Lapis, president of the “Milioane de Prieteni” association, together with WSPA (World Society For The Protection Of Animals) and with the help of the Zarnesti City Hall, which granted the necessary land, laid the foundations for this project. Within the park, bears have places for shelter, for feeding, climbing trees and water pools. In 2012, a new enclosure was inaugurated, thus increasing the capacity for hosting a larger number of bears. This reservation is open to public visits with a pre-established schedule during the summer, and the rest of the year it can be visited by telephone appointment.
